Samsung Galaxy Gear Fit SM-R350 Smartwatch Tracker - Retail Packaging - Charcoal Black

Items Description

The Samsung Galaxy Gear Fit SM-R350 Smartwatch Tracker - Retail Packaging - Charcoal Black is a curved fitness wearable designed for users who want activity tracking, heart rate monitoring, and glanceable notifications in a compact wristband format. Positioned between a basic fitness band and a full smartwatch, the Gear Fit pairs a dedicated exercise-focused design with the convenience of a Super AMOLED touch display. The Charcoal Black finish gives the device a muted, low-profile look that suits both gym sessions and daily wear.

The Gear Fit SM-R350 is built around a curved 1.84-inch Super AMOLED display that wraps slightly around the wrist, a form factor Samsung developed specifically for workout use. It includes a built-in heart rate monitor, a pedometer, exercise tracking for running, cycling, and walking, plus smart alerts for calls, messages, and calendar events when paired with a compatible smartphone. The Charcoal Black band is made of a soft-touch silicone material that remains comfortable during extended activity, while the lightweight construction keeps the device unobtrusive throughout the day.

Key Advantages of the Samsung Galaxy Gear Fit SM-R350 Smartwatch Tracker - Retail Packaging - Charcoal Black

1. Curved Super AMOLED Display for Wrist-Focused Readability

The defining feature of the Gear Fit SM-R350 is its curved Super AMOLED panel, which is engineered to follow the natural contour of the wrist. This design allows key metrics such as heart rate, step count, and elapsed workout time to remain visible with a simple wrist turn, without requiring a bulky square face. The display renders vivid colors and deep blacks, making on-screen text and graphs easy to read in both bright outdoor light and dim indoor settings.

• Curved Form Factor: The display bends to match the wrist curve, reducing glare and improving touch access during movement.
• Super AMOLED Panel: Provides high contrast and saturated colors for quick data scanning during intervals or daily use.
• Touch Interface: Swipe and tap navigation lets users switch between fitness dashboards, notifications, and settings without a companion app.
• Always-Ready Layout: The home screen can show time, steps, heart rate, and battery status simultaneously.

2. Heart Rate Monitoring and Real-Time Coaching

The Gear Fit SM-R350 includes a built-in optical heart rate sensor that tracks pulse data during exercise and throughout the day. Samsung designed the device to offer real-time coaching cues based on heart rate zones, helping users stay within target intensity ranges during cardio sessions. The sensor sits flush against the wrist via the silicone band, which keeps it stable even during running or cycling motions.

• Heart Rate Zone Alerts: The watch can signal when the user enters, exceeds, or drops below preset intensity thresholds.
• Resting Rate Tracking: Records baseline pulse data to help users observe recovery trends over time.
• Calorie Estimation: Combines heart rate with movement data to provide a more informed calorie burn estimate.
• Workout Summary: After each session, the device displays average heart rate, maximum rate, and duration for post-exercise review.

3. Dedicated Exercise Tracking for Running and Cycling

Samsung equipped the Gear Fit SM-R350 with specific exercise modes rather than a generic step counter, allowing users to record structured workouts with relevant data fields. Running mode captures pace, distance, duration, and heart rate, while cycling mode uses the same sensor suite to track ride metrics. The device also includes a pedometer for daily step counting, along with sleep tracking to monitor rest quality.

• Running Mode: Tracks time, distance, pace, and calories with heart rate data layered into the summary.
• Cycling Mode: Logs ride duration and heart data; when paired with a phone GPS, route distance can be recorded.
• Step Counter: Monitors daily steps, distance walked, and active time.
• Sleep Tracking: Detects sleep duration and movement to provide a basic rest assessment each morning.

4. Smart Notifications and Connectivity

Although the Gear Fit SM-R350 is fitness-first, it includes practical smart features that reduce the need to pull out a phone during a workout or meeting. The device connects via Bluetooth to compatible Samsung and Android smartphones, delivering call, text, and app notifications directly to the wrist. Users can also control music playback from the watch face, making it convenient for runs where adjusting tracks mid-stride is otherwise awkward.

• Call and Message Alerts: Incoming calls and new messages appear as visual notifications on the curved display.
• App Notifications: Select compatible apps can forward alerts to the watch for quick review.
• Music Controls: Play, pause, skip, and volume adjustment available from the wrist when paired with a phone.
• Find My Device: The watch can trigger a ring on the connected phone to help locate it nearby.

5. Lightweight and Durable Construction for Daily Wear

The Charcoal Black Gear Fit SM-R350 is built to be worn for long stretches without causing fatigue. Its lightweight chassis and flexible silicone band make it suitable for all-day use, while the materials resist sweat and light moisture. The device also carries an IP67 water and dust resistance rating, meaning it can survive rain, hand washing, and post-workout splashes without damage.

• Silicone Band: Soft-touch material that resists sweat buildup and feels comfortable against the skin.
• IP67 Rating: Protects against dust ingress and temporary water immersion up to 1 meter for 30 minutes.
• Replacement Band Availability: Standard lug design allows users to swap in alternate bands if desired.
• Lightweight Feel: The device weighs very little on the wrist, making it easy to forget during sleep tracking or long commutes.

The Samsung Galaxy Gear Fit SM-R350 Smartwatch Tracker - Retail Packaging - Charcoal Black works best for fitness-focused users who want dedicated workout tracking and wrist-based alerts without the full feature set of a larger smartwatch. Its curved display and heart rate coaching make it a practical choice for runners, cyclists, and gym-goers who prefer a lightweight band that stays out of the way. For those who value a streamlined, exercise-first wearable with a subdued black aesthetic, the Gear Fit SM-R350 provides a focused and reliable daily companion.
