Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 Stainless Steel, 40mm,Heart Rate Monitor (Black Stainless Steel) (Renewed)

Items Description

The Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 Stainless Steel, 40mm is a compact smartwatch designed for users who want advanced health tracking in a refined, smaller form factor. With its 40mm stainless steel case and Super AMOLED display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass DX+, this model balances everyday elegance with practical durability for workouts, commutes, and daily wear. It combines a full-color always-on display with a suite of wellness sensors, making it a straightforward choice for Android users seeking reliable fitness data without a bulky wrist presence.

The 40mm sizing on this Black Stainless Steel variant suits wrists that prefer a lighter, lower-profile watch while retaining access to core smartwatch functions such as notifications, music control, and activity tracking. The stainless steel case offers a more premium feel compared to aluminium models, and the device carries a 5 ATM water resistance rating, meaning it can handle swimming, rain, and sweat without concern. This particular configuration pairs Bluetooth connectivity with the smaller battery-optimised case, offering a balance of function and comfort for all-day use.

Key Advantages of the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 Stainless Steel, 40mm,Heart Rate Monitor (Black Stainless Steel) (Renewed)

1. Compact Stainless Steel Design with Everyday Durability

The 40mm stainless steel case sets this Galaxy Watch Active 2 apart from lighter aluminium versions, offering a more substantial feel while remaining comfortable for smaller wrists. The Black Stainless Steel finish gives the watch a neutral, professional appearance that transitions easily from gym sessions to office settings, and the materials are chosen for resistance to daily wear.

• Case Material: Stainless steel construction provides a premium tactile finish with greater scratch resistance than standard aluminium.
• Display Protection: Corning Gorilla Glass DX+ safeguards the 1.2-inch Super AMOLED screen from scuffs and impacts during active use.
• Water Resistance: 5 ATM rating ensures the watch can be worn while swimming in shallow water, showering, or training in heavy rain.
• Comfort Fit: The 40mm diameter keeps the watch lightweight at 37g, reducing wrist fatigue during extended wear and sleep tracking.

2. Advanced Heart Rate Monitoring and Wellness Insights

The Galaxy Watch Active 2 includes an optical heart rate sensor that tracks your pulse continuously throughout the day. This data feeds into Samsung Health, providing insights into resting heart rate, stress levels, and workout intensity. The sensor is designed to deliver reliable readings during both steady-state cardio and high-intensity interval training.

• Continuous HR Tracking: Monitors heart rate in real time, alerting you to unusually high or low readings during rest or activity.
• Stress Monitoring: Uses heart rate variability to estimate stress levels, with guided breathing exercises available directly on the watch.
• Sleep Analysis: Tracks sleep stages and quality, offering a nightly score to help you understand rest patterns and recovery needs.
• Workout Intensity: Automatic detection of common exercises such as running, cycling, and rowing, with heart rate zones displayed during sessions.

3. Athletic Tracking with Built-in GPS and Running Coaching

This 40mm model includes built-in GPS, allowing runners and cyclists to track distance, pace, and routes without carrying a phone. The watch automatically detects when you begin a workout and provides real-time coaching feedback to help you adjust your pace. For those who prefer structured training, the watch supports interval workouts and offers audio-guided prompts through connected headphones.

• GPS Connectivity: Tracks outdoor routes with accuracy, syncing maps and performance data to the Samsung Health app.
• Auto-Workout Detection: Recognises when you start running, walking, or cycling and begins tracking automatically.
• Running Form Analysis: Measures metrics such as cadence and asymmetry to help refine your stride efficiency over time.
• 7 Preloaded Workouts: Includes guided routines such as squats, lunges, and planks, with on-screen demonstrations for proper form.

4. Seamless Connectivity and Practical Smart Features

The Galaxy Watch Active 2 pairs with Android smartphones via Bluetooth, delivering notifications, calls, and app alerts directly to your wrist. The watch also supports music playback control, allowing you to manage playlists during workouts without touching your phone. Samsung Flow integration enables quick file sharing and screen mirroring with compatible Samsung devices, while the built-in speaker and microphone support hands-free calls.

• Notification Mirroring: Receives texts, emails, and calendar alerts instantly, with quick reply options for supported messaging apps.
• Music Controls: Play, pause, or skip tracks on your phone or stream music directly from Spotify to Bluetooth headphones.
• Call Handling: Accept or reject calls from the watch, using the internal speaker and mic for brief conversations.
• Bixby Voice Assistant: Issue voice commands to set alarms, check weather, or launch apps hands-free.

5. Digital Bezel for Intuitive Navigation

Instead of a physical rotating bezel, the 40mm Galaxy Watch Active 2 uses a touch-sensitive digital bezel along the edge of the display. Swiping your finger around the rim scrolls through menus, changes watch faces, and adjusts settings with a haptic feedback response. This design keeps the case compact while still offering a familiar, glanceable interaction model that works well with gloves or wet fingers.

• Touch Bezel: Swipe along the display edge to navigate menus quickly, mimicking the feel of a mechanical rotating ring.
• Customisable Watch Faces: Choose from a library of faces, including vibrant animated options that can display upcoming appointments, heart rate zones, or step counts.
• Quick Settings: Access toggles for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Do Not Disturb, and screen brightness with a single swipe.
• Haptic Feedback: The bezel provides subtle vibrations on selection, confirming input without requiring a visual check.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 Stainless Steel, 40mm works well for Android users who want a durable, feature-rich smartwatch in a smaller package. Its stainless steel construction, accurate heart rate monitoring, and built-in GPS make it suited for fitness enthusiasts who train regularly and value reliable data. For those who prefer a lighter watch that still delivers comprehensive wellness tracking and everyday connectivity, this 40mm variant offers a practical balance.
